Sandy Syx

President

After earning his BSEE in 1984 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Sandy Syx spent nearly 20 years mastering the intricacies of systems engineering.

Devoting the early part of his career to Southern Company, Sandy then joined Mantissa, where he developed commercial data center automation software that was sold internationally.

Realizing that he was meant for a long-term future in software development, Sandy co-founded Doozer Software in 1997 with longtime colleague Barry Sykes. Shortly thereafter, Sandy hatched a new business venture, The Coding Center, an outsourcing company that delivers high-quality medical coding solutions to hospitals and specialty physicians.

Sandy believes in technical excellence backed by a common sense business approach. Today, this principle remains a key distinguishing factor between Doozer and other software development firms.

When he's not helping clients troubleshoot their most vexing technical conundrums, Sandy can usually be found on the golf course or at a local road or cross country race.

A Birmingham native, Sandy resides in Inverness with his wife Dori, and children, Kelsey and Tanner.
